Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about DEOSAI water, delivery, bottles and certifications.
What is DEOSAI?
DEOSAI is a 19 litre refillable purified drinking water service for homes and businesses in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. It is the water brand of Margalla Foods and Beverages and is delivered on a regular schedule, with empty bottles collected for reuse.
Which areas do you deliver to?
DEOSAI delivers across all of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Enterprise accounts can also be supported in other locations nationwide. Use the Request Service form to start a home or office account.
How is the water purified?
Every drop passes through nine stages: chlorination, sand filtration, carbon filtration, cartridge filtration, reverse osmosis, remineralization, UV sterilization, ozonation, and a final bottle wash, inspection and fill. You can see the full process on the Our Water page.
Is DEOSAI certified?
Yes. DEOSAI water is produced under ISO 9001:2015 quality management and ISO 22000:2018 food-safety systems, and is licensed by the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority to use the Pakistan Standard Mark for bottled drinking water.
Do I buy the bottles or rent them?
The 19 litre bottles are part of a shared, reusable pool and are placed with you on a deposit basis rather than sold outright. Empties are collected on every delivery, then washed, sterilised and refilled.
How much does DEOSAI cost?
A 19-litre refill is Rs 350. New customers also pay a one-time, refundable security deposit of Rs 1,300 per bottle, since the bottles stay part of our shared, reusable pool. The deposit is returned when you end the service and return the bottles in good condition.
How often will my water be delivered?
Most households receive a weekly delivery. The schedule adapts over time as we learn how much water you use, and you can send a rush request if you run low before your next delivery.
What is a rush request?
A rush request is a simple way to ask for an earlier delivery when you run low before your scheduled date, instead of waiting for the next cycle or making emergency calls.
What happens to empty bottles?
Returned bottles are inspected and smelled, then washed and sterilised with hydrogen peroxide and hot water at 70 degrees Celsius. They are refilled and screened on a fluorescent line, and any bottle that fails inspection is retired rather than refilled.
Can you supply offices and large organizations?
Yes. Single offices can use the standard Request Service form. For multiple sites, large volumes or locations outside the twin cities, use the Enterprise Inquiry on the For Business page.
How do I get started?
Submit the Request Service form with your account type, your area in Islamabad or Rawalpindi, and your contact details. Our team will confirm your schedule and arrange your first delivery.
